The founder and skills facilitator at Beyond Braidz CIC and her team (made up of mental health practitioner, child and family practitioner and a youth worker) are passionate about community cohesion, young people’s development and holistic health. Bukola worked as a freelance project manager with Centric community research and as Head of People and Projects at Sedulous Collective a participatory research organisation.

Bukola has had numerous trainings and experiences in community engagement. Some of her qualifications include BSc Psychology, PG Youth and Community Studies. In addition, she is a trained MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AIDER, PROFESSIONAL COACH (DIPLOMA) and adept in beauty and fashion.

Likewise, Bukola continues to engage young people from diverse backgrounds as a mentor in academic settings and within various locales in London. She encourages young people to learn new skills and develop a healthy mindset toward achieving their personal and educational goals. Equally, she facilitates community skills building workshops with adult women within the community, creating a sense of togetherness, developing new skills towards financial freedom and building their research capacity through art-based projects.

Lastly, Bukola has worked and continues to work with various institutions such as the NHS, Social Finance, KCH, HYDE, UKIE, PEABODY, TSIP and Impact on Urban Health (IOUH) as a researcher, activating and amplifying unheard marginalised community voices and building research capacity.
